CARLSBAD, CA - December 16, 2002 - Objectiva
Software Solutions Inc., today announced the formation
of AccessABILITY Software group to accelerate the adoption
of their new suite of Section 508 products and services.

Examples of Section 508 requirements include
providing alternate keyboard navigation for people with
limited vision who cannot rely on pointing a mouse,
or audio captioning options for individuals who are
deaf or hard of hearing.
More than 52 million Americans have disabilities.
The federal government, which has more than 100 agencies
and commissions within the Executive Branch, is expected
to devote $691M to Section 508 compliance. Under the
law, these organizations were required to have compliance
efforts in place by June of last year.
