AccessABILITY Software's 508 Wizard™ Product Suite to be Deployed by Social Security Administration to Accelerate Section 508 Remediation and Training

Tool intended to save time and costs for identifying, correcting and validating accessibility errors in VB and Java desktop and client/server software applications

San Diego, CA - April 5, 2003 -AccessABILITY Software announced today that the U.S. Social Security Administration (SSA) will deploy the company's Java and Visual Basic (VB) versions of the 508 Wizard product suite. The suite features development tools that scan the source code of desktop and client/server applications to identify and validate Section 508 accessibility errors in accordance with the Rehabilitation Act.

The software is being provided to SSA by AT&T Government Solutions, a trusted source of information technology solutions for federal, state and local governments.

Under the terms of the agreement, the 508 Wizard™ will provide SSA's software developers with the 508 Wizard™ for Java and 508 Wizard™ for Visual Basic products. The 508 Wizard™'s innovative methodology inserts testing early into the software development process to allow for accessibility to be considered from the beginning. This approach greatly reduces the burden of manual testing and remediation and most importantly, results in more accessible software.

The 508 Wizard™'s extensive integrated help system is designed to assist SSA developers in understanding Section 508 requirements and through repeated usage of the tool, aid them in understanding how to build accessible Java and VB applications.
